Rihanna has reportedly done what most business-minded artists are eager to do at some point in their careers: own the masters of their recordings. Masters are typically owned by the record label to which an artist is signed. But Rihanna apparently made that move recently, acquiring “the masters of all her previous albums,” Vogue reports.

During her interview with Vogue, she spoke about the fake rivalry that she says is drummed up between her and another pop icon, Beyoncé. There is no rivalry, she says, because neither woman can do, or does, what the other one does. However we all know her rivalry with Ciara was not made up; I still remember her making fun of Ciara in the bathroom singing Body Party, before it came out and turned out to be a huge hit. So Rihanna does feud, but she knows better to feud with someone like Ciara and not someone like Beyonce and her army the BeyHive. (Just ask Kerri Hilson and the 9 other women who’s careers hit major problems after dissing Beyonce.)

“Here’s the deal. They just get so excited to feast on something that’s negative,” Rihanna explained. “Something that’s competitive. Something that’s, you know, a rivalry. And that’s just not what I wake up to. Because I can only do me. And nobody else is going to be able to do that.”

Regarding her hit single “Work,” Rihanna says that it reflects her Bajan roots. Regardless of whether the communication is “perfect,” everyone understands each other in the Caribbean, and that’s all that matters, she says.

“You get what I’m saying, but it’s not all the way perfect,” she says, “because that’s how we speak in the Caribbean.”

She gushed over her “Work” collaborator, Drake, saying that “everything he does is so amazing.” The inspiration for the “Work” video is based on the dancehall scene in the Caribbean where everyone would “just dance and drink and smoke and flirt.”

All hope of fans petition to save Mike & Molly has come to an end as the cast is moving on to new gigs. Mike & Molly co-star Katy Mixon the loveable sometimes scene stealing pot smoking sister of the shows main character Molly has landed a lead role on a new network. As the lead she finally gets her time to shine or fail; I always felt that on M&M her character had so much scene stealing potential but she stayed in her lane, her character reminded me a lot of Jackee’s character in 227. Larger than life, buxom, sexually charged and filled with one liners. However, she never quite went over the top enough to really steal the show.

With her moving on to a new network this means there’s no hope of saving Mike & Molly. Here are the details from TVline.com

Five weeks after CBS double-secret officially confirmed that the Melissa McCarthy-fronted sitcom is in its farewell run, Katy Mixon has booked the lead role in the ABC comedy pilot The Second-Fattest Housewife in Westport.

Penned by Sarah Dunn (Manhattan Love Story, Spin City), the single-camera comedy is narrated by Katie, a strong-willed mother who is raising her flawed family in a wealthy Connecticut enclave filled with “perfect” wives and their “perfect” offspring.

Mixon’s previous TV credits also include Eastbound & Down and Two and a Half Men.Currently on hiatus after a brief Wednesday run, Mike & Molly will resume its sixth and final season at a date TBD.

Angela Raiola, known as “Big Ang” on the TV show Mob Wives, died at age 55 in the hospital on Wednesday after a battle with stage 4 cancer, a family source confirmed to ET.

In December, ET confirmed that Raiola’s throat cancer had returned.

Several months earlier, in March, a lemon-size tumor was previously discovered and removed from her throat in March 2015. Later, in June, she underwent the same procedure for the right side of her throat as well.

Raiola is survived by her sister, Janine Detore, her two children, Raquel and Anthony Donfrio, and six grandchildren. In February, the family set up a GoFundMe page to help with Raiola’s doctor fees, which raised over $45,000 in two weeks.

Later in the month, Raiola revealed on The Dr. Oz Show that she had left her husband, Neil Murphy, as she continued her cancer battle.

“I felt like he never stepped up to the plate, so I was done with it,” she told Dr. Oz. “Now, it’s too late. I would rather be by myself. I would rather be alone.”

Raiola also expressed gratitude for her children on the program, saying, “If it wasn’t for them, how would I get through this?”

Television history and black history has crossed paths today. Channing Dungey, executive VP of drama at ABC, was today named entertainment president of ABC, replacing Paul Lee, who was removed after a reported power struggle with Disney/ABC Television President Ben Sherwood, according to reports.

Dungey is now the first African-American woman to lead a major broadcast network. The ABC veteran, known by industry insiders as the Shonda Rhimes’ whisperer, will now report directly to Sherwood.

“Channing is a gifted leader and a proven magnet for top creative talent, with an impressive record of developing compelling, breakthrough programming that resonates with viewers,” said Sherwood. “We thank Paul for his many accomplishments at ABC and his devotion to the ABC brand, and we wish him continued success in the future.”

Dungey, a UCLA grad who’s been with the network since 2009 (and Disney since 2004), is credited with developing many of ABC’s successful dramas, including “Scandal,” “Quantico,” “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “How to Get Away with Murder,” and “American Crime,” according to Variety.

Said Dungey, “I’m thrilled and humbled that Ben has entrusted me with this tremendous opportunity. And I am truly grateful to Paul for being a valued mentor and friend. I’ve had the great honor of working alongside the talented team at ABC for many years and look forward to starting this exciting new chapter with them.”

Dungey began her career as a development assistant at 20th Century Fox-based Davis Entertainment, and did stints at other companies including Steamroller Productions and Warner Bros.

Mandatory Credit: Photo by Buckner/Variety/REX/Shutterstock (4937681bc) Corey Hawkins 'Straight Outta Compton' film premiere, Los Angeles, America - 10 Aug 2015

Corey Hawkins is about to experience the day from hell. The Straight Outta Compton actor — who’s currently recurring on The Walking Dead as Heath — has landed the starring role in 24: Legacy, Fox’s in-the-works reboot of the seminal real-time thriller.

Hawkins will portray Eric Carter, a strong and smart former Army Ranger who finds himself pulled back into action as his past comes looking for him. He eventually turns to CTU for help in saving his life and stopping what potentially could be one of the largest-scale terror attacks on American soil.

“There’s a time jump, a new organization, a completely different story,” Fox co-chairman and CEO Dana Walden teased last week. “It’s a contemporary story about the potential to activate sleeper cells in the United States. There are nods in the pilot to prior CTU agents, but no ongoing characters.”

Fox has thus far only ordered a pilot, which will feature nods to prior CTU agents but no ongoing characters — that includes Kiefer Sutherland’s Jack (although the actor may serve as an EP on the project alongside fellow 24 vets Howard Gordon, Manny Coto and Evan Katz).
“I have said from the beginning that the real star of 24 is the idea, and I mean that wholeheartedly,” Sutherland recently said of the revival. “I have every faith they’ll do something cool and clever.”

The new series would span 12 episodes, similar to the recent, acclaimed limited series.
